Sniffing the air, a golden wolf scaled a cliff with ease. She was deep into her hunt, nearly to the climatic finish; the scent of mountain goat was fresh, and she knew she was nearing it. She broke into a sprint, leaping over a gap in the rocks, catching the sight of a blur of color above. She launched herself at the other animal, grabbing hold with her teeth... only to discover she had a mouth full of feathers.
Instantly, she loosened up, letting go and spitting out soft down. She shifted back into a human form quickly. She hadn't bitten hard, seemingly having grabbed the wing of the griffin. "Sorry, sorry!" She instantly apologized, backing off. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" She didn't know if the other would understand her speech, or if it spoke at all. She hoped she wouldn't be attacked, at least. She tugged at her ears, frowning.
